Car history:
A tid bit of Corvette background for your reading pleasure...
The 1963 Corvette body and chassis were completely redesigned featuring an independent rear suspension and single traverse leaf spring.
The first Sting Ray offered improved traction, stopping power improved, too. Four-wheel cast-iron 11-inch drum brakes remained standard but were now wider, for an increase in effective braking area and less unsprung weight.
Revolutionary engineering changes included positive crankcase ventilation, a smaller flywheel, and an aluminum clutch housing. A more efficient alternator replaced the old-fashioned generator.

OUR VEHICLE:
Our Corvette Has the optional original numbers matching 327 block with 340 hp running through a 4 speed Muncie M21 which replaced the earlier build Borg-Warner T10.
One of only 6978 w /340 hp option out of 21,913 Corvettes built and less than 1/2 were Convertibles This is a beautiful numbers matching vehicle.
The EXTERIOR Riverside Red paint is in very good condition with no checks, chips or dings. This is complimented by correct chrome wheel covers with spinners and chrome front and rear bumpers all in excellent condition.
White convertible top is in very good condition and the rear window is clear.
The INTERIOR Black vinyl seats and door panels are in very good condition.
The rugs are not worn and very black.
Our vehicle is a later production model including updates of Am/Fm radio, upgraded black vinyl dash replacing painted. Vehicle is equipped with the optional woodgrain look steering wheel in good condition with no cracks.
